IPR-Helpdesk: New Patent Database oktoober 14, 2008

The European project EPIPAGRI has developed an IPR database in the field of agricultural biotechnology and related industry.

EPIPAGRI is a European project related to IP in the fields of agriculture science. It has developed a database specifically designed for searching and analysing IPR within the field of agricultural biotechnology and related industry (food, feed, fermentation etc). It is different from alternatives in that it not only provides powerful search options but also allows users to directly and instantly contact relevant IPR holders. In addition, technology offers can be included apart of the IP information.

Although the project is nearly finished, one of the partners (INRA) will develop and maintain the EPIPAGRI database.

Any public sector research organisation may freely register with EPIPAGRI and enter its IP/technology to be displayed in the EPIPAGRI database. Parties (whether public or private sector) seeking IP/technology are able to view the EPIPAGRI database and easily contact the person responsible for managing said IP/technology on behalf of the IP owner.

    On IP-Promoter blog you can browse patents in Espacnet patent database according to technology fields.

    The patent search tool is made according to WIPO’s World Patent Report: A Statistical Review (2008) – Annex B: IPC and Technology Concordance Table. For further details about IPC see www.wipo.int/classifications/ipc/en/

    Tänu IPVision, Inc.   Intellectual Property Analysis and Management Solutions huvitavale patendiotsingu lahendusele õnnestus saada kaks patendikaart. Esimesel kaardil on näha Eesti autorite patendid Ameerika Ühendriikides ja nende omavahelised seosed, kokku 59 patenti.

    Teisel kaardil on Eesti autorite patendid ja avaldatud patenditaotlused Ameerika ühendriikides.

    Thanks to IPVision, Inc.   Intellectual Property Analysis and Management Solutions, I received two US patent maps of Estonian inventors.

    1.  An Interconnection Map of issued US Patents with Inventors having a country code of  ”EE” in the USPTO database.  This is a map of 59 US patents.

    2.  An Interconnection Map of issued US Patents and pending published US applications for Inventors having
    a country code of “EE” in the USPTO database.  This map has 154 objects.  If an application has issued then the application appears as a small colored box on the tail of the patent.

    New search field is added to IPEstonia Search Toolbar – WIPO IPC Bridge.

    WIPO IPC Bridge is a patent search tool by international patent classifications (IPC) provided by World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO).

    Through WIPO IPC Bridge it is possible easily to search in Espacenet, PatentScope PCT, USPTO and Jopal databases. In addition it includes USPC and ECLA concordances to IPCs.

    After using WIPO IPC Bridge as a searchfield from drop-down menu of IPE’s Toolbar and typing IPC class into the searcfield (A01D75/28 for example) then the IPC Bridge page will open:
    http://www.wipo.int/classifications/ipc/ipc8/popup.php?ipc=A01D75/28&level=a&edition=&menulang=EN
    and you can browse on in different databases.

    Under IP Feeds button following new rss feeds are included:
